Looking for Singers!

Join the Finnish International Choir for Our 2025 Summer Tour!

It’s not too late! You can still be part of this amazing group project. If you love to sing – even if you are not a Finnish speaker but willing to learn the pronunciation, please join this venture, performing this summer at FinnFest in Duluth MN in early August. Even if you can’t perform this time, you are welcome to join in for the rehearsals. Please contact [email protected] for more information. We just had our first rehearsal but they said folks are still welcome and encouraged to join.

Finnish International Choir / Ulkosuomalaisten Suurkuoro is with Finlandia Foundation National, Inc. and 2 others.

Step into the world of Finnish and Finnish-American choral music this summer and become a part of our summer tour to Duluth and Hancock! Directed by Maria Männistö (USA) and Eva-Christina Pietarinen (Finland), the Finnish International Choir (Ulkosuomalaisten suurkuoro) unites singers from North America and Europe. We welcome singers from all backgrounds—whether you’re a Finnish expat, have Finnish roots, or simply want to explore Finnish culture through song. No prior experience with the Finnish language is necessary—just a love for singing together and a curiosity to learn. All are welcome to be part of this international choir!

Rehearsal and Performance Dates:
Zoom Rehearsals: Begin on April 19
Performances: July 28 – August 7, 2025.
Our choir will perform at FinnFest 2025 in Duluth, followed by a tour to Hancock, MI, with a performance at the Finnish American Heritage Center.
